Privacy and control for personal AI apps

Personal software gets useful when it knows context, but only if the user can see and control what is kept.

Personal context is sensitive by design

The most useful context is often the most personal: routines, health constraints, communication preferences, people, and goals. A product that stores this information needs to make control obvious.

Users should know what is stored, why it is useful, and how to change it.

Approvals prevent quiet drift

A profile can become inaccurate if updates happen silently. Approval flows keep the user in the loop when new context is suggested.

The right default is not maximum friction. It is visible control at the moments where meaning changes.

Editing should feel ordinary

Privacy is weaker when correction is hard. If a user spots something wrong, they should be able to open the section, rewrite it, and move on.

That interaction matters as much as the security language around the product.
